Four regions launch the Tier 4 Personality Disorder Consultation
Friday 20th March, 2009
From today, people in West Sussex are being encouraged to have their say on services for people with complex or severe personality disorder.
Mental health services are a high priority for local communities. The NHS aims to make services accessible and high quality and is asking for feedback about the best way to provide care for people with complex and severe personality disorder.
From today the South East Coast, East of England, South Central and London regions are all joining forces to run a public consultation on current services and how they can be improved.
From April through July, the public, people using services, their families and NHS staff are invited to have their say about the future.
Jo Scott, Project manager of the Tier 4 Personality Disorder Consultation said, “We all have our own personality and about five to ten percent of us have a disorder that makes us seem a little outside the norms of society. People with a personality disorder sometimes need extra care and treatment. We’re eager to hear your views about what this should look like in future.”
