Dermatology
The Sussex Community Dermatology Service is now accepting referrals from all West Sussex patients and has clinics at:
- Steyning
- Hove
- Horsham
- Haywards Heath
- Burgess Hill
- East Grinstead
- Crawley.
This is a one-stop consultant-led community service. Please email the UBRN to the service (gpreferral.sussexcds@nhs.net) who will triage the referral and contact the patient.
The MIDS Dermatology Assessment Service is now accepting referrals from Mid Sussex GPs. This service has clinics at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. This is a one stop consultant-led community service and referrals for this services are managed by Brighton Integrated Care Service (BICS). For further information email bhv-pct.mids@nhs.net
The ICAT services at Horsham and Crawley Hospitals are no longer available and referrals should be sent to these services.
Primary Care clinical assessment services
The following services appear on the Primary Care menu and should not be included in any choice offer with secondary care services:
- Dermatology CAS, Rheumatology CAS, MATT, Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital.
- MSK CAS, Worthing.
- Dermatology CAS, Horsham Hospital.
- All ICAT Services at The Vale Primary Care Centre and Horsham and Crawley Hospitals.
Vasectomy referrals
The Vasectomy services at IPC, Pulborough Medical Group and Woodlands and Clerklands Practice are all now available to Choose and Book on the Primary Care menu.
GPwSI ENT clinic at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital
Directly bookable appointments are now available for this service.
Please note: these are genuine real time appointments and NOT virtual appointments as booked for the Assessment Services at Bognor.
Independent providers
The Horder Centre, Gatwick Spire and Goring Hall are now offering NHS appointments to patients through Choose and Book. Please note that the following exclusions apply:
- A patient with incapacitating disease that is a constant threat to life.
- A patient who has an unstable mental condition and is receiving psychiatric treatment.
- A patient who is grossly obese with a BMI >35.
- Surgery for patients under 18.
Not all services at Goring Hall currently have Snomed terms attached.
Enhanced service programmes
Details of the Local Enhanced Service for 2009/2010 have been distributed and finalised for all West Sussex PCT practices.
